Dear Friends of Haiti,
The Jesuits of Canada and Haiti are pleased to invite you to a fundraising event supporting the works of the Jesuits in Haiti. Yes, our work continues despite the dire situation of the country.
As you know, Haiti has been struck by many natural, political, economic, and social disasters over the past decades. We believe that education of the Haitian people is imperative to the sustained development for present and future generations. We ask your help to continue in our mission to educate the youth of the country.
This unique event will take place in the historic Gesú church, 1202 rue de Bleury, Montreal on Sunday April 7th, 2024. The event will be a celebration of faith and solidarity, beginning with Mass at 11 a.m., followed by a light luncheon. We are pleased and honoured to have the presence of members of the Atelier Lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal to sing both at the Mass and during the luncheon. Fr. Erik Oland, SJ, provincial superior of the Jesuits of Canada, will preside at the Mass and, as one of the founding members of the Atelier Lyrique, he will join the singers in a few numbers. Fr. Jean Denis Saint Félix, superior of the Jesuits in Haiti, will also be present along with some other special guests from Haiti.
Your donations and support are greatly appreciated for this event of solidarity with Haiti. The Jesuits of Canada will match all your generous donations. Donation levels are as follows:
