Support Us

Dear Friend,

And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth."

We are approaching our third Christmas during this time of pandemic with guarded hope that this one will be more “normal,” with church attendance, family gatherings, gifts, and traditional Christmas dinners.

The first Christmas, of course, showed little resemblance to the Christmases we have come to enjoy and perhaps take for granted. Mary and Joseph were alone, with no family, (a couple of visitors and some farm animals notwithstanding), probably only the most basic of food, and no gift save one which more than made up for the lack of turkey, stuffing, a new toy or gadget — Our Lord and Saviour.

The Jesuits of Canada hope that your Christmas is happy, healthy, and blessed, no matter how your celebrations take place.

As in previous years, I have enclosed a Jesuits of Canada Christmas card for your use. Additional cards are available by contacting us at 416-481-9154. These cards are another way to join with the Jesuits in their prayers for peace and justice in the world, especially during this holy Christmas season.

Thank you for your generous support and prayers during this difficult year. The Jesuits and their staff pray for all of you each and every day.

Wishing you a very Blessed Christmas,
Barry J. Leidl
