Dear Friends and Patrons of the Jesuits,
As we enter the joyous season of Christmas, we are reminded of the immeasurable gift of God’s love made known to us through the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ. This holy celebration calls us to rejoice in the light of Christ, who came into the world to bring hope, peace, and love to all.
Each day, our Jesuit priests and brothers strive to share that same love with those they serve, bringing comfort, joy, and faith wherever it is needed most. They do so through preaching, teaching, serving the poor, comforting the lonely, and guiding hearts closer to Christ. This sacred mission is made possible only through your support, generosity, and prayers.
Christmas is not only a celebration of God’s gift to us; it is also an opportunity to share our own gifts with one another. We are called to be instruments of peace, to extend compassion where it is most needed, and to ensure that hope endures. When you support the Jesuits, you help us continue this mission.
This season also evokes the tireless zeal of St. Francis Xavier, who carried the light of Christ to distant lands, proclaiming the Good News with joy and courage. His missionary spirit inspires us to share the peace and hope of Bethlehem with all we encounter. Today, that legacy lives on through the Jesuits—and through friends like you—who help make Christ’s love known throughout the world.
We invite you to join us in carrying the message of Christmas into the world. Whether through your prayers, your presence, or a gift to the Jesuits, you help bring the peace of Christ to others. Together, we can reflect on the boundless love of God that we ourselves have received.
If you would like to make a gift, or to share the joy of the season through Jesuit Christmas cards, please contact the Jesuit Office of Advancement at 416-481-9154 or email us at supportus@jesuits.ca.
With deep gratitude, we wish you and your loved ones a Christmas filled with joy, peace, and the warmth of Christ’s love. May His light guide you always.
Respectfully Yours in Christ,
Colleen Franks
