Christmas Appeal

Dear Friends of the Jesuits,

As we prepare our hearts for the joyful celebration of Christmas, we are reminded of the boundless love that God has shown us through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. This divine love inspires us to give to others with that same passion and generosity. Every day, our Jesuit priests and brothers strive to bring love, joy, and consolation to those they serve, and they do so with the unwavering support of compassionate people like you.

Christmas is a time to pause and reflect on the many blessings we have received, and it is also a time to extend our hearts and hands to those who are less fortunate. We invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of others, to be a listening ear, and to offer hope where it is needed most. Your kindness and prayers make this possible.

We are deeply grateful for your continued generosity. Your donations ensure that our Jesuits in formation are supported and that our senior Jesuits are cared for with dignity and love. Without your help, these dedicated men would not be able to fulfill their mission to serve God’s people. This Christmas, we humbly ask you to consider making a gift to the Jesuits, so that together, we can continue to work for the greater glory of God, as St. Ignatius calls us to do.

In this sacred season, we also take a moment to remember the powerful legacy of St. Jean de Brébeuf, a martyr who shared the message of Christ’s love through his life and writings. His beautiful hymn, the “Huron Carol”, written in the language of the Huron/Wendat people, is a profound reminder that the message of Christmas is universal, crossing all boundaries to bring peace and joy to every heart. As we sing these timeless words, let us be inspired to spread that same love and unity in our world today.
