MEN IGNATIAN RETREAT –  Although many believers are not attracted to the Old Testament since God is often portrayed as a warrior God; nevertheless, the Old Testament is made up of  different genres whereof one is the Sapiential Books, aka,  the Books of Wisdom: Proverbs, Psalms, Job, Song of Songs, Ecclesiastes, Book of Wisdom, Wisdom of Sirach, and to some extent Baruch.

These wisdom books grant us much guidance for simple everyday living as a Christian in our contemporary world.
