Living as a Christian while identifying as LGBTQ+ can involve deep and complex challenges. Many carry wounds that can create a sense of unease within traditional Christian communities—difficulty finding one’s place, feeling set apart, or struggling to express one’s personal identity freely.
Beyond questions surrounding the positions of our churches, the primary purpose of this retreat is to nurture or renew a personal spirituality that opens us to an intimate, living, and authentic relationship with God. Together, we will enter into adapted Ignatian contemplations and, for those who wish, share our experiences in a space that is safe and respectful.
Our aim is to help bring to life what God has already planted within each of us:
– a refreshed outlook on prayer as a place of encounter with God—where, how, why, and when…
– a deeper awareness of the importance of who we truly are in God’s eyes and heart…
– a prayerful reflection on our sacred and unique mission within both the human and Christian community.
