In gratitude, Canadian Jesuits International (CJI) invites you to its fifth online Christmas Concert, Finding Refuge: A CJI Solidarity Christmas Concert, on Tuesday, December 3, at 7:00 p.m. (ET).

The forced displacement of people is one of the defining global issues of our time. As of May 2024, a record 120 million people have been forcibly displaced because of wars and conflicts, persecution, economic and political crises, and the impacts of climate change, according to the United Nations Human Rights Commissioner for Refugees.

CJI is grateful for the work of its partners in the Global South who work to alleviate the suffering of those who have been forced to flee. The concert highlights some of our partners’ musical and artistic talents, in solidarity with those who have been forcibly displaced from their homes.

Performers include:

⭐Xavier Sangeetanjali Institute of Music and Dance (Darjeeling, India)
⭐Luis Fernando Gómez and Naty Salazar, who work with the Jesuit Migration Network of Latin America and the Caribbean
⭐Noluthando Honono, a South African girls’ education activist who contributes to initiatives of the Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar.
⭐Jesuit Refugee Service Middle East and North Africa   Radio Progreso, Honduras
⭐Human Life Research and Development Centre, India
⭐Gandhi Ashram School Orchestra, India
⭐Jesuit Refugee Service Venezuela   And more!

Co-hosts: Jenny Cafiso, CJI Executive Director Jubin Nath Maria Lawrence, SJ
