A Regis College graduate is the first ever female Episcopal Delegate appointed in Malta

March 15, 2019 — Dr. Nadia Delicata has just been appointed Episcopal Delegate for the Evangelisation of the Archdiocese of Malta by Mgr Charles J. Scicluna. This is the highest position ever held by a woman in the archdiocese. Nadia Delicata has studied theology at Regis between 2001 and 2011, the Jesuit theologate of the Toronto School of Theology at the University of Toronto.

Archbishop Scicluna, himself a native of Toronto, was appointed in January 2015 by Pope Francis as the head of the new doctrinal team charged with accelerating the process of hearing and adjudicating appeals filed by laicized priests or subject to other forms of punishment in cases of serious sexual or other violence.
