A benefit event for La Dauphine in Québec City

November 9, 2018 — On November 20 there will be a major fundraising event on behalf of the Maison Dauphine Foundation. Some 40 artists will participate in the multi-discipline, uptempo event that will take place at the Palais Montcalm, with artist Guylaine Tremblay as host, and Régis Labeaume, Mayor of Quebec, as honorary president. The Open House of La Dauphine has as its aim "to give wings to street youth".

Open House Dauphine

Founded in 1992 by our companion Michel Boisvert, SJ, Maison Dauphine helps about 250 street youth, between the ages of 15 and 29, who are welcomed there unconditionally by the support workers of La Dauphine.

Now under the direction of an autonomous lay corporation, La Maison Dauphine nevertheless has an excellent relationship with the Jesuit community of Quebec City. In addition, our companion Bernard Hudon, SJ is a member of the Board of Directors of La Dauphine.

Last May 26, Fr. General Arturo Sosa visited La Maison Dauphine during his official visit to Quebec.
