Henri Nouwen was a Dutch-born Catholic priest, professor, and psychologist, as well as a spiritual guide and writer. He wrote with deep openness about faith, spiritual growth, prayer, and the many dimensions of our journey with God. One of his distinctive gifts was his ability to help people encounter their own vulnerability as a path toward greater trust, healing, and intimacy with God.
