November 23 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
This one-day program takes its name from the pandemic-era book of the same title by Pope Francis. The day consists of presentations, time for personal reflection and wandering the beautiful land of the Ignatius Jesuit Centre, interaction with other participants, the celebration of Mass, plus a buffet lunch and snacks provided by the renown Loyola House kitchen.
Philip Shano, S.J. will facilitate the day, dividing it into the three themes offered by Pope Francis: “to see clearly, choose well, and act right.” In each part, Philip will help make the connection between perennial themes of the Pope and the spiritual dynamics of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
Philip Shano has been a Jesuit for over 45 years and recently returned to serve at Loyola House, having previously been on the spiritual direction team in the 1990s. Most of his diverse Jesuit ministry has involved retreat, education and formation work rooted in Ignatian spirituality.
