Dear Friends of the Jesuits,

With the arrival of spring, we look forward to a season of growth and new beginnings. It seems fitting that this is the time of year when we honour those special people in our lives who said “yes” to embarking on the challenging and fulfilling journey of parenthood.

Jesus invites us to “love one another, as I have loved you.”

As we approach Mother’s and Father’s Day it is a time to reflect on those special women and men in our lives. Whether we call them Mom, Dad, Pops, Aunt, Uncle, Nanny, Big Papi, Mamie, Dziadzi, Dida, Baka, or Gigi our words are full of love as we appreciate the love they have shared with us.

On May 14, a Mass will be offered at René Goupil chapel, located within the Jesuit infirmary in Pickering ON, during which the beloved women in the lives of our benefactors and friends will be honoured and remembered. Carnations will be placed in the sanctuary to symbolize the love shared by these special women for whom we wish to pray and celebrate.

On June 18, we will remember those important men in our lives with a Father’s Day Mass at René Goupil chapel.

We invite you to send in the names of those women and men who have made a difference in your life or the lives of your family members. We look forward to celebrating these wonderful people during our Mass.

You may contact the Jesuit Office of Advancement at 416-481-9154 or via email at supportus@ jesuits.ca to donate, send in your loved one’s names, or with any questions.

We are most grateful for your prayers, gifts, and generosity.

Respectfully yours in Christ,

Scott McMaster
Director of Advancement
