Dear Friends of the Jesuits,
As spring fills the air with renewal and hope, we are reminded of the love and wisdom shared by those who have guided and nurtured us throughout our lives. Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day offer a special opportunity to celebrate these remarkable individuals—parents, grandparents, mentors, or caregivers—whose kindness and care have shaped us in profound ways.
Inspired by Jesus’ call to “love one another as I have loved you,” (John 13:34) we take this time to reflect on the cherished women and men who are always in our hearts and led us with grace.
On May 11, a Mass will be offered at René Goupil Chapel, located within the Jesuit infirmary in Pickering, ON, honouring the beloved women in the lives of our benefactors and friends. As a tribute, carnations will be placed in the chapel—symbols of the enduring love these remarkable women have shared with us.
On June 15, we will gather once more to celebrate our Fathers’ Day Mass at the same chapel, honouring the significant men in our lives.
