Dear Friends,

This month I wanted to share a little about our Jesuits in what sometimes feels like faraway British Columbia. Here is some brief information about the Jesuits serving there.

Father Richard Soo is the superior of the community and is a parish priest at the Eastern Catholic Church in Richmond. He serves as vicar general of the Eparchy of Westminster and as director of the Jesuit Spirituality Apostolate of Vancouver.

Father Robert Allore serves as pastor of St. Mark’s Parish and Catholic chaplain at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and UBC hospitals. His professional work also includes genetics research in UBC’s Department of Zoology.

Father Bill Wilson serves as chaplain at St. Mark’s Parish.

Father Robert K. Wong is pastor of St. Monica Parish in Richmond, hospital chaplain at Richmond General Hospital, and co-chaplain at Vancouver International Airport. He has served at St. Monica’s since 2017. The parish is a vibrant, diverse, multicultural community.

Without your support and generosity, Jesuits would not be able to serve across Canada.

Thank you for your generosity and prayers. Please know that the Jesuits and their lay staff pray for you.

Director, Advancement
