Puisant sa source dans une histoire de plus de 150 ans et dans les valeurs de base des jésuites, le Gesù a toujours été un lieu de rencontre signifiant, inclusif, ouvert à l’humain. Aujourd’hui l’ensemble du lieu comprend l’église, les salles dont le grand amphithéâtre et une résidence.

Camp Lac Simon

Fondé par le père Jacques Beaupré, S.J. et les Fils de la Charité de Pointe-Saint-Charles, le camp a pour mission d’offrir à des jeunes de milieux défavorisés la possibilité de vivre une expérience de camp loin des pressions de la ville. Il offre aux étudiants du collège Jean-de-Brébeuf l’occasion de vivre l’expérience du don, du service, du partage, de la fraternité et de l’ouverture vers l’autre.

Bibliothèque de théologie

Des années trente à nos jours, la bibliothèque a pris une grande extension. Elle compte aujourd’hui près de 200 000 volumes.

Led by his interest in art history and aesthetics, he also studied at the École du Louvre in Paris in 1982 and undertook a research project in philosophy on the theme of symbols at the Université de Montréal in 1988.  Eventually moving towards aesthetic theology, his exploration of Hans Urs Van Balthazar’s work “Aesthetic aspects of revelation” earned him a Master’s degree in 1991.  Upon graduation, an internship opportunity took the artist to Egypt, where he immersed himself in Egyptian culture and art.
