Daniel leBlond

Led by his interest in art history and aesthetics, he also studied at the École du Louvre in Paris in 1982 and undertook a research project in philosophy on the theme of symbols at the Université de Montréal in 1988.  Eventually moving towards aesthetic theology, his exploration of Hans Urs Van Balthazar’s work “Aesthetic aspects of revelation” earned him a Master’s degree in 1991.  Upon graduation, an internship opportunity took the artist to Egypt, where he immersed himself in Egyptian culture and art.

Camp Ekon

Located at Stanley House Road (2nd line on the shore of Lake Joseph in Ontario’s Muskoka Lake Region, (just 250 km north of Toronto), Camp Ekon was founded in 1971 by the Jesuits in English Canada to provide an opportunity for young people to form a community of service. The values and skills that Ekon promotes in its pedagogy are grounded in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

University of British Columbia Campus Ministry

UBC Campus Ministry provides a safe environment for students who wish to further their spiritual journey. Confidential spiritual and personal counselling are available, as well as the opportunity to discuss faith issues in various discussion forums. Students do not have to be Roman Catholic to use the services of the Campus Ministry and to attend their events.

Martyrs’ Shrine

The Martyrs’ Shrine is the National Shrine to the Canadian Martyrs. The Shrine honours the eight Jesuit Saints who lived, worked, and died here over 350 years ago.

Chapelle des jésuites

The community therefore has different missions, firstly to be a place of formation for the confreres who are studying. As a community we have pastoral responsibility for the chapel for which we have responsibility. To do this, the community invites you to come and pray with us on Sundays from September to June. The chapel will open will be open from 4.30 p.m. and the Eucharistic celebration will begin.

Loyola House/Ignatius Jesuit Centre

Built in 1964, Loyola House in Guelph, ON has welcomed over 60,000 people of all faiths to deepen their spirituality through retreats and ongoing spiritual direction.
