The Ignatian Year
in Canada

From May 2021 until July 2022, the Society of Jesus celebrates an Ignatian Year. What is an Ignatian Year? May 20, 2021 marks the 500th anniversary of St. Ignatius’ conversion — that fateful day when Ignatius the soldier, struck by a cannonball, began his transformation into Ignatius the pilgrim.

This year is a call to allow the Lord to bring about our own transformation, inspired by Ignatius’ personal experience. Guided by the Universal Apostolic Preferences, the year’s theme will be “To See All Things New in Christ.”

Below you will find a number of resources, primarily created in Canada, to help us accompany each other in this journey towards renewed conversion.

Throughout the year, we will be sharing more resources as they become available.
