- Leaders of faith groups longing to build an authentic, prayerful community
- Spiritual Directors called to accompany communities through the Ignatian communal discernment process
What you’ll experience
During the formation, you’ll pray together, engage in real-time Spiritual Conversations, and reflect through personal journals. A panel of experienced guides will accompany you, offering wisdom and practical insights to enrich your learning. You’ll also co-create tools such as Prayer Sheets, giving you resources to bring back and use in your own context.
- Grounding in Ignatian wisdom: Explore the theology of Spiritual Conversation, images of God, and the spirituality of community.
- Shared prayer and openness: Participate in group prayer experiences that build trust, authenticity, and openness.
- Real-time conversations: Practice leading conversations with attentiveness, navigate group dynamics, and notice how the Spirit moves among you.
- Discernment in action: Apply the Ignatian Rules of Discernment of Spirits in community settings and cultivate shared wisdom.
By the end of this retreat
You’ll be equipped with the tools and confidence to lead Spirit-led conversations in your community. Having prayed, shared, and discerned together in real time, you’ll know how to create sacred spaces where people listen deeply, recognize the Spirit’s movements, and grow in unity.
This foundational formation will prepare you to guide prayerful conversations that are at the heart of discerning communities.
