An 8-Day Retreat
Ecology is the study of living systems. Ecclesiology is the study of church. If church does not soon become radically ecological, its systems will quickly loss all their living and life-giving force. Since the disruptions of the pandemic, many faithful people have discovered genuine connection in Creation and now feel distanced from former church communities enclosed in buildings and ways of thought that confine rather than expand human spiritual experience. New ecclesial movements like Forest Churches are blowing like the Spirit in the trees. This retreat seeks to take seriously the stirrings in believing hearts for a new Earth-rooted way to live out our faith. Through talks, group input, outside contemplative activities and creative communal prayer, participants will themselves become congregants in the Earthen church they hope to build.
