Q: What is MAGIS?
A: MAGIS it is a Jesuit-led programme for young adults. It began to take shape around the time of World Youth Day 1997 in France.
Q: Who are the Jesuits?
A: Founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) is an international religious order in the Catholic Church. Animated by the Spiritual Exercises, the Jesuits seek to find God in all things in all that they do. They have been on the forefront of evangelisation, as missionaries who are sent to live and work on the margins of society.
Q: What does the MAGIS programme entail?
A: The MAGIS programme is anchored by a 4-day experience with other pilgrims, sandwiched by a few days before and after.
Q: Can I skip the MAGIS programme and join you for only the World Youth Day portion?
A: We shall be participating in both MAGIS and World Youth Day together as a group. If you desire another programme combination, there may be other Canadian pilgrimage groups that may offer that which you are looking for.
Q: How does the payment work? Do I need to pay it all at once?
A: We first begin with a down payment to cover the cost of the registration fees and the securing of seats on the flights. The rest of the cost is to be paid in installments.
